Trek World Racing Own US Open, Neethling and Moseley Win Again

Andrew Neethling (RSA) and Tracy Moseley (GBR) backed up their wins from the previous week at the Pro Gravity DH #2, with impressive wins at the even more prestigious US Open that saw many World Cup stars attending. In winning the Men’s race, Andrew relegated 2008 World Champion Gee Atherton (GBR) to 2nd, and pre-race favorite Sam Hill (AUS) to 5th.

The opening round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill saw Trek World Racing take two top 10 results despite the difficult conditions that saw rain all weekend causing slippery race conditions and ankle deep mud in some sections. Justin’s 9th in the final was enough to place him 7th overall in the season standings, while team mates Andrew Neethling and Tracy Moseley finished 33rd and 8th respectively in their final runs.

Trek World Racing ventured north from the Sea Otter Classic in California, to race yesterday’s opening round of the Pro Gravity Tour, the premiere US series for downhill racing, in Port Angeles, Washington. It seems that TWR was not the only large World Cup team to elect to race, and support this growing US series, as was evident by the start list. Also racing were Commencal, Yeti/Fox, Giant, Santa Cruz Syndicate, Evil Bikes, Dirt/Norco, among others.
